ULTRASOUND SCAN OF SOFT TISSUE

The Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound assembled a distinguished panel comprising specialists in radiology, orthopedic surgery, and pathology. This expert group collaboratively formulated a consensus statement on the optimal management of superficial soft-tissue masses identified through ultrasound (US) imaging. The recommendations presented herein are meticulously derived from a comprehensive analysis of current literature and insights gleaned from prevalent practice strategies. The statement meticulously scrutinizes and elucidates the ultrasound features characterizing common superficial soft-tissue lesions, which often present as discernible masses.
