U/S SCAN OF RIGHT FOREARM
The superficial fascia, a fibroelastic structure within subcutaneous tissue, has become a focal point in surgeries, dermatology, and pain studies, particularly in procedures like plastic surgery flaps and abdominoplasty. A novel technique involves utilizing a one-step purse-string suture to improve flap projection without causing tension. Studies also highlight the superficial fascia’s role in hip pain, and ultrasound is increasingly used for dynamic visualization. In light of this, a study is underway to determine optimal ultrasound probe positions for assessing the upper limb’s superficial fascia, exploring regional variations, and evaluating reliability. This emphasizes the crucial role of the superficial fascia and underscores the utility of ultrasound in diagnostics.
