ANTI VGKC ANTIBODIES

Anti-voltage-gated potassium channel antibodies (anti-VGKC-Ab) induce heightened activity in both the peripheral nerve and central nervous system. This heightened activity primarily presents as peripheral nerve hyperexcitability, which is the primary feature of Issacs syndrome and cramp-fasciculation syndrome. These antibodies play a significant role in causing these neurological conditions characterized by increased nerve activity and associated symptoms.
