ANTI LA – SSB ANTIBODIES

Anti-SSA/Ro and anti-La/SSB antibodies serve as key markers in primary Sjögren’s syndrome (pSS), commonly found in 60-70% of cases. Their presence is linked to an earlier onset of the disease, glandular dysfunction, and the emergence of extraglandular symptoms. These antibodies are also associated with heightened B-cell activation markers, further highlighting their significance in the disease’s pathogenesis and manifestation.
