24 HOURS URINE FREE CORTISOL
A cortisol urine test measures cortisol levels by collecting a 24-hour urine sample. For adults, the process involves urinating into a container on day 1 upon waking and then collecting all urine for the next 24 hours in a designated container stored in a cool place. On day 2, the first morning urine is added to the collection, capped, labeled with details, and returned to the lab as instructed. For infants, a urine collection bag is used by attaching it to the genital area, and after urination, the sample is transferred to a container for laboratory analysis. This process may need a few attempts due to the mobility of infants. Regular checks and bag changes are required until a urine sample is obtained for transport to the lab.
